Jason Abel, MD, is co-PI on NIH Cancer Institute Moonshot grant

Associate Professor E. Jason Abel, MD is a co-principal investigator on a three-year, $1.5M NIH National Cancer Institute Moonshot grant. The project, “Functional microscale organotypic assays to predict patient response to anti-angiogenesis therapies,” is a broad collaboration between physicians and scientists at UW-Madison to advance individualized treatment approaches to renal cell carcinoma. Other PI’s on the grant are David Beebe, PhD (Biomedical Engineering), Christos Kyriakopoulos, MD (Hematology-Oncology), Wei Huang, MD (Pathology), Steve Y. Cho, MD (Radiology), and KyungMann Kim, PhD (Biostatistics).
