On May 3, 2018 the Department of Urology celebrated its 10th Anniversary on the evening of the Robert F. Schnoes Lecture. Special guests included UW School of Medicine & Public Health (SMPH) Dean Robert Golden, MD, Johns Hopkins prostate cancer program director H. Ballentine Carter, MD, Dolores (Jinx) Schnoes, and her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Mike Thompson. Inaugural department chair Stephen Nakada, MD and vice chair David Jarrard, MD related a history of UW Urology and some of our successes, including becoming the 16th clinical department of SMPH. The Department is grateful to Dean Golden, our faculty and staff, and our many friends and partners, for supporting us in becoming a department and continuing to flourish.
