Asha completed a SPUUR internship in the Ricke lab in 2019 while she studied disease-related changes in cell-type composition in the mouse prostatic urethra. She returned in the Spring of 2020 to work with Dr. Popovics on studying the role of osteopontin in prostatic inflammation. she was awarded a University of Wisconsin-Madison Sophomore Research Fellowship for her proposal entitled: “Investigating the Role of Inflammatory Molecule Ostepontin on Prostatic Fibrogenesis and Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction.”
