Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) is a subspecialty of Urology. We provide consultation and comprehensive management of women with complex pelvic conditions, lower urinary tract disorders, and pelvic floor dysfunction. These problems can include urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and neurogenic bladder. We offer our patients a combination of extensive experience, commitment to patient care, and the most advanced techniques of simple and complex pelvic reconstruction. Genitourinary Reconstruction Our experts in the University of Wisconsin Department of Urology provide advanced treatment options for conditions including urethral stricture disease, male incontinence, erectile dysfunction, management of urologic injuries, and neurologic disorders affecting the urinary tract. Male Infertility Our urologists with fellowship-training in male infertility work with patients to determine the underlying cause of their fertility problems and offer the most effective treatment options for their condition.
Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery Excellence in minimally invasive urology, in particular laparoscopic urology, has been a hallmark of UW Urology since 1995. Laparoscopy is a form of minimally invasive surgery, where standard, open, “large” incision surgery is replaced with “keyhole” incision surgery.
Pediatric Urology The goal of the University of Wisconsin Pediatric Urology Program (UWPUP) is to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of complex genitourinary problems in children.

Urologic Oncology The UW Department of Urology provides comprehensive care for all patients with prostate, kidney, bladder, testis, penile and other genitourinary tract cancers. Our urologic oncologists specialize in minimally invasive surgical procedures. The Urologic Cancer team also manages a number of active clinical trials aimed at developing new therapies for genitourinary cancers.
