Clinical Specialties


Dr. Best is certified by the American Board of Urology and specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatment of urologic cancers and stone disease. She has advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery for kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and kidney/ureter reconstruction. She also manages patients with kidney stones, including the full range of surgical therapies and medical management. She has a special interest in performing robotic partial nephrectomies for kidney cancer. Her philosophy is to try to get patients back to their “normal lives” as quickly as possible by using minimally invasive approaches whenever possible.

Research Interests

Dr. Best’s research interests lie in the study of kidney cancer and disease using optics, the development of new technology for minimally invasive surgery, and urinary stone disease.
