The 120th American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting begins on Saturday, April 26, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A global event, the AUA Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of urologists worldwide. Event attendees share cutting-edge research and exciting innovations in the field while having “unparalleled access to groundbreaking research, new guidelines, and the latest advances in urologic medicine.”
University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Urology faculty, residents, fellows, and staff will participate in courses, lectures, forums, and panel presentations throughout the four-day conference. Further, 31 abstracts from our team were accepted by the AUA and will be presented at the meeting.

Stephen Nakada, MD, FACS, FRCS, to preside over 2025 AUA Annual Meeting
Dr. Stephen Nakada will preside over this year’s AUA Meeting before completing his term as the 2024-2025 AUA President at the close of the event. With a distinguished history of leadership in the urological community, Dr. Nakada has served as president of the North Central Section of the AUA, the Endourology Society, the Society of Academic Urologists, the ROCK Society, and the American Board of Urology. He is also an active member of the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons and the Clinical Society of Genitourinary Surgeons.
Dr. Nakada is honored to be one of the few urologists to have served as both president of the American Board of Urology (2018) and the AUA. He is excited to welcome and connect with colleagues and friends at the 2025 AUA Annual Meeting later this month.
