UW Urology – Summer Exploration, Enrichment, and Development Scholars (UW-SEEDS) Program
.
The UW Department of Urology is committed to diversifying the field of urology and, to that end, is excited to offer the UW Urology Summer Exploration, Enrichment, and Development Scholars program for first-year medical students.
The UW-SEEDS program aims to provide urologic clinical and research exposure, mentorship, and career development to students who will have completed their first year of medical school and are from an underrepresented in medicine background or have experienced significant adversity. The program runs for eight weeks (May-July) and includes one-on-one mentoring with urology faculty, exposure to clinical urology (clinic & operating room shadowing), and didactic learning. This program is intended for students who are not participating in another funded clinical or research experience; Scholars will receive a $400/week stipend.
